My position on club membership has been swayed. I used to feel that paying to join a club was not the best way to get people involved in trail advocacy issues, it was just to compile as many names as possible and have that list ready to use for advocacy purposes. I have had my mind changed by several riders who state that a fair membership charge would benefit the local trails, and the group that rides them. Efecctive April 1, we will have membership sign ups. The membership costs will be $20 per individual for one year, with 20% of that going towards IMBA membership. (Families are $25) We will also be offering club jerseys for $30 to members.. The governmental body has been voted in, so if you would like a say in what we do with the club, get involved. I can only see good things happening with the club, and I will always keep the books open for anyone to see what we are doing. I will still keep the kitty open, as I will still be buying the after ride drinks.
We are moving forward here, and hope you will come with us. I think with a little more involvement on your parts as well as mine, we can make this an even better place to bike! See you out there!.
