2006 IMBA Trail Care Crew visit.
RMB invited the Subaru/IMBA's Trail Care Crew for a visit to help with a couple of trail projects we
have been working on for quite some time, and with the help of RMB's own Carl Drake, Jill Van
Winkle and Chris Bernhardt of the IMBA spent four days with RMB, the USFS, and the NPS to help
us lay out some new trails, and revamp an existing one. They also put on a slide presentation, and a
class on trail building, that three seperate government agencies attended! I was very impressed with Jill
and Chris' knowledge of trailbuilding, with their love for the sport, and the way they treated everyone
they came in contact with. They left us totally fired up about getting our trails in shape! RMB is a
member of the IMBA, however, every member we have needs to be an individual member as well.
The money that IMBA receives is put to such good use, nothing is wasted. I would like to personally
thank Carl Drake for his relentless efforts and attention to detail to make this happen, Sandy and Clay
Ross for opening thier homes to Chris and Jill, the USFS, NPS, and BLM for taking the time to
accomodate us, and Chris and Jill for a visit that will benefit every mountain biker in the Redding area.
