Whats so great about Downieville? Well, where
do I start? How about an 18 mile downhill ride
without having to do the climb?
How about experiencing just about every kind
of riding known to man in these 18 miles?
Great scenery, great people, where do I stop?
Heres how it works. We get on a shuttle (a van)
and they drive us up to the top of the
mountain, (usually takes an hour) and on the
drive we all make up our best mountain bike
wreck story! They drop us off at the top, and its
18 miles (or longer, depending on the trail) to
the bottom. Very little peddling!
When we get done, there is a great little town
we stay at right on the river. We sit out on the
porch, have a couple cold ones, BBQ and swap
again, more wreck stories.
